Biodiversity. The infrastructure of life on Earth. It does not sound like much, but biodiversity is not just
beautiful and here to deliver a service: biodiversity is our very life.
We need jobs, development, infrastructure, they say. But we can have jobs, development and infrastructure, and manage biodiversity properly!
It is time to realize that the "development" that destroys the environment is nothing else than mismanagement. Species and ecosystem can be spared
in our modern world, if we want too. We have the tools, the know-how to develop without destroying.
We have only one Earth. There is no planet B. It is time to act.
This website is meant to share experience. It is supposed to help make a link between science and action in the field. We
also hope to post some material to help students in ecology, as we go.
