Dr. Priya Davidar

Priya Davidar is Professor of ecology and environmental sciences at the University of Pondicherry. She is the president of the Association of Tropical Biology and Conservation (ATBC) for 2008-2009. She became the Dean of the School of Life Sciences of the University of Pondicherry in July 2008. Former student of the renown Salim Ali, she worked in several North American institutions, including the Harvard University and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI). Priya published several influential papers on the Western Ghats of India and the Andaman Islands.

Dr. Parthiba Basu

Ph.D. in Ecology with over 20 years of experience in ecological research and activism. Has been a short term research fellow in the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. Post Doctoral experience at French Institute of Pondicherry and Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris. Involved in action research on Sustainable Natural Resource Management and Agro-ecosystems. Presently teaches in the Post Graduate Department of Environmental Science at Asutosh College, Kolkata. Elected National Secretary of ECOFARM Net (A network of organizations in India involved in promotion of action research in ecological agriculture and sustainable rural development).

Mr. Srikumar Menon

Srikumar M. Menon is Lecturer in Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. He is an architect with 15 years of experience in architectural design. He has experience in the design of energy-efficient and climate-responsive buildings and has a special interest in the design of facilities near environmentally sensitive areas. He is also interested in landscape architecture for biodiversity conservation.
